The Urgent/Crisis Clinic provides in-person visits for students who are experiencing a psychological emergency without an appointment.

Easy access to informal, drop-in consultation (virtual and in-person spaces) with counselors from Carruth. Meetings are free, one-time, and no longer than 20 minutes.

Students have the opportunity to sit down with a counselor one-on-one to discuss their concerns in a private and confidential setting. This could involve workshops, groups or individual counseling.

Getting Started at the Carruth center

Visit the Carruth Center website or follow these steps to get started:

  1. Orientation to Services - Review our Orientation page for important information about our professional services including eligibility, policies, and what to expect from your visit to CCCPS.
  2. Initial Appointment - Students interested in counseling services will participate in an initial consultation session during their first visit. Call 304-293-4431 Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. or visit Carruth's scheduling page to make your initial appointment.
